Death Valley Photo Suite for Site 4

Geologic context: The light colored phase in the lower right of the representative image below is a more feldspar and quartz rich phase of the Willow Creek Pluton (Sizemore et al. 2019). The darker colored phase is a later more mafic phase of the plutonic complex.  The view is approximately along a preferred orientation of slip surfaces lined with epidote mineralization. Both the contact between the two phases and a thinner shallowing dipping more leucocratic phase dike show offsets permitting estimates of offset magnitudes to be made in the 3D models.  Other orientations of slip surfaces are evident in other perspectives/photos.

One of the images that can be used to construct a 3D model of this outcrop. Tie point 1 is the intersection of the two folding ruler segments. Tie point 1 is horizontal and to the right, and tie point 3 is above. Values for tie point positions can be found in the accompanying Excel sheet.
