Nebraska State Laws – ATVs
- ATVs sold on or after January 1, 2004 must be titled.
- ATVs may never be registered for on-road use.
- ATV use on public streets or highways is prohibited.
- Except to cross these roads or for agricultural/farming purposes.
- No ATV shall be operated without a lighted headlight and taillight from ½ hour after sunset to ½ hour before sunrise.

There are no specific national OSHA regulations that list ATVs/UTVs. Safety violations are cited under the General Duty Clause with specific references to general industry standards developed through the Specialty Vehicle Institute of America.
