33 Find and discuss

Locate a real-world Open Educational Resources or Open Access program to discuss. This could be a university initiative, a public education initiative, or a state initiative. It could be large-scale, small-scale, or somewhere in-between.

Here are some examples:

After you’ve found and selected an initiative, discuss and share with your peers.

Some points to consider:

  • A brief description of the initiative or project you’ve chosen
  • The scale (institutional, regional, national)
  • Is this an active initiative, involved in the creation and promotion of materials and programming, or is it more passive, being a repository of information?
  • Your thoughts on the initiative’s web presence. Is it intuitive and are the aims clearly described? If someone were approaching this page with no foreknowledge of the subject, do you believe they would likely be able to understand and navigate the provided content?
