Section 6: Open Educational Resources & Open Access: History, Context & Pedagogy

Open Educational Resources and Open Access are philosophically aligned movements with their own unique facets and stakeholder concerns. This module will cover the historical context for OER, for OA, the major publishers and organizations OER, for OA, and pedagogical considerations for OER. It will also cover common faculty concerns about OER, for OA, the potential impact on student success of OER, and considerations for the impact of OA on research and scholarship.
