Joining Your Terms

OR Together Terms for an Alternate Concept

After using quotes and truncatation (with the asterisk wildcard*) appropriately, it’s time to join your terms for the “resistance” concept:

  • OR together the alternate terms.

Use Parentheses Around OR’d Terms for a Concept

  • Enclose the OR’d together terms in parentheses.

Join Your Concepts

After joining the “resistance” terms, it’s time to add the CML and asciminib terms.

  • AND together the parenthesis-enclosed terms for the three concepts (two ANDs will be needed).
  • Do not lose track of the list of terms that you removed from your drug search last week.
