Academic Technologies Lecture Series
As part of the Academic Technologies Lecture Series, we will be offering a training session for Adobe products on Wednesday, May 3rd from 9:30am-10:30am. This session will be led by Jim Babbage at Adobe, and the session will be centered around the basics of the Adobe suite of products, with a special focus on Adobe Express and Adobe Stock. NU Open Education Week Events
From April 25th through 27th, the Open Educational Resources (OER) Community of Practice (CoP) is hosting several virtual events to highlight exciting Open Education efforts. All instructors and support staff are invited to these Zoom webinars to learn more.
OER Curriculum Pathways – April 25, 12:00-1:00 p.m.
Two faculty at the University of Nebraska Omaha will discuss work on creating OER curriculum pathways. Craig Finlay, OER and STEM Librarian, will discuss a team-based initiative to target high-enrollment General Education and Dual Enrollment courses toward building an OER General Education pathway, and Dr. Dan Hawkins, Director of Online Development & Professor of Sociology, will discuss the implementation of an OER degree pathway in the Department of Sociology and Anthropology. NU OER Research Highlights – April 27, 12:00-1:00 p.m.
Dr. Dan Hawkins, Director of Online Development & Professor of Sociology and Dr. Julie Pelton, Associate Professor and Chair, Department of Sociology & Anthropology, both at the University of Nebraska Omaha, will present research related to the use of no-cost and low-cost materials, that are a part of Open Nebraska<https://its.nebraska.edu/innovation-hub/open-nebraska>. They will present preliminary results that compare grades earned and retention rates in Open Nebraska courses to courses that use traditional materials across three NU campuses. What You Need to Know about Classroom Technology

As spring semester comes to a close summer session will begin shortly after. Summer DLC exam reservations are open! Instructors and TAs can start submitting exam reservations for the summer semester beginning Monday, April 17th.
The DLC Exam Commons will have altered hours for the summer:
City Campus ONLY
Monday thru Friday: 11am-4pm
Closed on weekends
*East Campus DLC Exam Commons will be closed for the summer and reopen when fall semester starts
