UNL Testing Centers IP Filter Update

On Friday, August 7th, ITS staff will be making an update to the UNL Testing Centers IP filter group in Canvas.  The IP addresses in this group have changed a few times in the past few years, and we are scheduling this change to help automatically update quizzes that have had “UNL Testing Centers” selected in Summer 2019, Fall 2019, and Spring 2020 to the correct and current IP addresses for the Digital Learning Center and Services for Students with Disabilities Testing Center.  Since this change will not be made to quizzes from prior to Summer 2019, you will want to manually update your IP filter settings if you will be creating a copy of a quiz from prior to that time range for Fall 2020.  To do this, click the magnifying glass next to IP filters in your Canvas Quiz settings, click UNL Testing Centers, and click Save.  Again, no action is needed for quizzes from Summer 2019, Fall 2019, and Spring 2020 since these will be automatically updated.  Please reach out to amy.zachek@nebraska.edu<mailto:amy.zachek@nebraska.edu> with any questions!

Easily share Canvas content with another instructor

There’s a new and easy way to quickly share Canvas content with another instructor.
You can share Pages (images included), assignments, and quizzes.
Besides the typical “Edit”, “Delete” options in the Options icon on the right side of the content, you’ll now see a “Send to…” option.
