Setting a letter grade in Canvas now
It’s good practice to have a letter grade scheme set at the start of the semester in your Canvas course. At the end of the semester when entering grades in MyRed, you will be able to import these grades and not have to enter grades one-by-one. Importing these letter grades directly into MyRed will save time and reduce errors at the semester end.
Having the letter grade in place at the beginning of the semester will help eliminate confusion from students who first see points then a letter grade later.

Two-Factor Authentication
Did you know: In 2019, 81% of cyber attacks were executed by taking advantage of weak or stolen passwords. This year, enhanced security will be the norm at the University of Nebraska, and we are encouraging everyone to get a head start in protecting their accounts with Two-Factor Authentication now. You may start seeing students needing to perform verification actions on their cell phones as the months go on. You can learn more about Two-Factor at https://its.nebraska.edu/two-factor as well as review Frequently Asked Questions for bringing this new service into the classroom.
