Canvas Notification Settings

Canvas includes a set of default notification preferences you can receive for your courses. Notifications can help you keep current on changes or additions in your course(s). You can change your default notification settings by setting your own notification preferences.

Canvas New Analytics

New Analytics is a Canvas tool that provides better analytics for tracking student data and predict at-risk students. New Analytics allows instructors to track average course grades for student submissions using an interactive chart graph or table. New Analytics is located on the right side of your Home Page in your course.

CSV reports are now available in New Analytics.
New Analytics now provides downloadable CSV files for missing assignments, late assignments, excused assignments, the class roster, and course activity data.

Canvas course announcements banner

Students sometimes overlook Canvas course announcements because they simply forget to check for them. Make it easier for them to notice and read course announcements by adding the most recent announcements as a banner to their Canvas homepage with the “show recent announcements on Course home page” option in each course’s settings.
