• Discuss the role of occupational therapy and the value of occupation to consumers.
  • Communicate with inter and intraprofessional colleagues to coordinate care and plan for discharge while analyzing sociocultural and epidemiological factors that could impact access to community resources.
  • Select and implement effective assessments, occupation-based interventions, and discharge plans for select client cases of varying complexity, including those with behavioral health, psychological and social factors, in collaboration with other healthcare team members.
  • Use electronic health records systems (EHR) to support the delivery of patient care.
  • Adhere to AOTA Code of Ethics, privacy policies, standards of practice, and sound judgment regarding the safety of self and others.
  • Demonstrate professionalism: time management, organization, self-directed learning, communication, accountability, and professional terminology.
