This chapter contains site-specific resources for ACTS locations.
As you prepare for your clinical experience, this 360° walkthrough is designed to help you become familiar with the Innovation Design Unit (IDU) at Nebraska Medicine. The IDU is a newly opened unit (January 2025) with a design that is significantly different from other units within Nebraska Medicine, featuring a more modern layout and unique room setup that may feel unfamiliar at first. This experience includes five immersive 360° images of a patient’s room, each with interactive markers that highlight important environmental features, equipment, and safety considerations relevant to your clinical practice. To support your learning and help reinforce key concepts, there is an optional 10-question quiz that allows you to check your understanding of the space and its functional components. You will also find two additional resources linked within the walkthrough: (1) a quick-reference bullet list summarizing essential room features, and (2) access to the full hospital bed manual if you would like more in-depth information. Together, these materials are intended to build your confidence, improve your orientation to the space, and help you feel more prepared before entering a new clinical environment.
You can access the 360° walkthrough and supporting materials by scanning the QR code provided or clicking on the link. This will take you to a Microsoft Teams page with step-by-step directions to help you access and navigate the walkthrough. On this page, you will also find downloadable PDF versions of the two reference documents—the quick-reference room feature list and the full bed manual—so you can review or save them for later. This setup allows you to easily access all materials in one place as you prepare for your clinical experience.
