Statement on Open Access
The Journal of Religion & Film adheres to the platinum standard of open access publishing, which is that digital versions of JR&F articles are available, free of charge, to researchers and the general public immediately upon publication and no publication fee is charged to authors.
The first rights of distribution are granted to the Journal of Religion & Film; upon publication, authors are free to distribute any version of their manuscript. In addition to this, JR&F allows readers to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of its articles. Any use of material from this journal requires a full citation that credits the author and source of publication, as well as linking to the journal and if used, the Creative Commons license. For articles printed prior to January 2021, rights of adaptation remain with the author.
All items published from October 2020 onwards will be published under the Creative Commons Attribution License that allows authors to read, distribute and adapt material as long as attribution is given to the authors. The JR&F will also add a DOI to each individual article from this date. The copyright for the article, before and after this date, remains with the Author.
