16 Implementation Phase

Once the program is finalized and developed, the implementation phase may begin. Listed below are suggested steps to complete once implemented:

• Trial, test, and revise the program evaluation and strategic plans
• Develop a Quality Improvement Plan as necessary
• Incorporate telehealth to enhance patient and student engagement
• Create elected student positions (e.g., clinical operations, marketing, administration)
• Explore opportunities for advocacy and research
• Consider preceptor incentives to offer (e.g., professional development opportunities, CE credits, volunteer hours, resume/CV enhancement)
• Explore the potential for interdisciplinary collaboration (e.g., UNMC Department of Psychiatry, UNMC College of Medicine, UNMC College of Pharmacy)
