Neo lived in Element City and everyone in Element City was special. They were all so unique, yet Neo felt he was the only element who truly did not fit in. Sometimes he didn’t feel seen at all.

Neo could shrink and grow and stretch out for miles, which made the liquids jealous, and they pushed Neo into the darkest cave in Element City. The cave was rumored to hold the lost elements. The legend of the cave was that five elements lost their way while exploring the cave and were never seen again. Neo held his breath out of fear, and something began to happen to him. Slowly he was no longer colorless but a bright glowing red. Amazed, he flew about the cave exploring his newfound power when suddenly he heard cries for help. He rushed to the voices and to his surprise; he found the lost elements. He heard the voices but could see no one. “Where are you? I cannot see you”, he replied.

“We cannot be seen because we are gasses”, the voices cried back.

“Gasses? You aren’t solids or liquids?”

The voices replied, “No we are not contained to a form like a solid nor a space like a liquid is”.

Neo was shocked he had found elements like him. Neo shouted with joy, “You are like me! I must be a gas!”

“Will you help free us from the cave? We can follow your light!” the voices asked.

Neo shot to the entrance of the cave with his newfound family close behind him. They emerged from the cave and danced in the atmosphere. The sky in Element City was brighter than ever that night, and so was Neo.

Two Weeks Later in New York City:

WOOSH! Phosphorous blasted into the air, fire flying off of her. “Litsilva! I could use some help here!”, P said as she tried to evaporate the water that was threatening to overtake the city. Litsilva shifted into a dam, trying to stop H2O, but he just hopped over it.

“He’s too strong!”, Litsilva exclaimed.

“We can’t give up!”, P said. So they kept fighting but it seemed like anything they did was useless against the force of H2O. Phosphorus tried to use her fire to evaporate him but he immediately put it out. Litsilva tried to shapeshift to trap him, but he just flowed right past her. After countless attempts to beat H2O, he eventually overpowered them and left them feeling defeated.

“We need to call for backup.”

Back in Element City:

Everything was just perfect for Neo in Element City. He was finally appreciated by the solids and the liquids. And the gasses? Well, they thought he was so cool. Neo was living the life he always dreamed of. One night he was floating in the sky, providing his bright red light to illuminate the city, when he got a call. “Hello! Neo’s speaking.”

“Hello, Neo. We need your help.”

“Who is this?”

“My name is Phosphorus and I’m here with Litsilva. We’ve heard all about you and your light. We think you could help us save the world.”

“What are you talking about?!”

“H2O is trying to flood New York City, which means he would flood Element City if the water got far enough!”

“But why me? I’m not a superhero!”

“We’ll train you. But please hurry. We don’t have much time.”

Neo didn’t think he could save the world, but he knew he had to try. He rushed to the headquarters of the Elementals.

The Elementals Headquarters:

After training Neo for only 3 days, P and Litsilva knew they would need goggles to be able to tolerate Neo’s bright, red light.

“I think we’re ready,” Litsilva said.

“Ready? I’ve only trained for 3 days!” Neo exclaimed.

P, confident in Neo’s skills, told him, “Neo, you are capable of saving the world! You just need to believe in yourself.”

“Ok, let’s do it!” Neo said, finally feeling confident.

The 3 of them made their way to where HO was wreaking havoc on the city.

“Oh, you think your little friend can help you?” H2O mocked.

As soon as he says this, Neo activates his glow. H2O becomes immediately disoriented. Flowing from side to side. Litsilva shifts into a huge bowl, able to trap H2O due to him being blinded by Neo’s light.

“Go P!” Litsilva yells.

P shoots into the air, which makes her light on fire. As she circles H2O, he gets smaller and smaller, evaporating into gas.

“AH!” H2O exclaims.

H2O is evaporated completely. “We did it!”, Neo cheers.

After celebrating, P asks Neo, “So what do you think about joining our team as a permanent member?”

“I would LOVE that!”

15 Years Later:

Neo, P, and Litsilva fought together for 10 years after the defeat of H2O. Now, Neo was in retirement, spending his time lighting up the community Christmas tree in Element City. He loved his current job but he couldn’t help but miss his two best friends. He also missed the thrill of defeating villains. As the sun was rising, Neo made his way back to his cave to get some sleep. Just as he was getting in his bed, he got a call. It was a call from P.

“Neo, he’s back. We need your help!”

Neo was out of the cave before she finished talking.
