Elementara is a realm where elemental phenomena are sentient people with distinct abilities.  The elemental phenomena are based on the elements on the periodic table.

Chromia’s powers were derived from the element chromium, the 24th element on the periodic table. Chromia represented endurance, tenacity, and the power of diversity.  She had silver hair and metal-like eyes which fiercely shone. Chromia was able to control light and had the ability to become invisible.

Due to her extraordinary abilities, Chromia was a guardian of Elementara.

Chromia’s ancestors were not from Elementara, and Chromia never forgot her ancestors or her original homeland.  She wore the traditional vivid colors of her homeland, and brought many of the traditions and kindness of her homeland to Elementara.  She wore chromium crystal gowns to remind the citizens of Elementara of the wealth of the Earth, and often spoke of the importance of unity.

One of Chromia’s best friends was the powerful South African deity Vanadia. She comembodied the element’s vanadium’s might and tranquility. Vanadia had beautiful dark skin and long, curled hair down her back. She was worshiped as the custodian of Earth energy and could channel vanadium to restore global balance. Afrobeat-inspired dances were performed across town to salute Vanadia. The thunderous rhythms and explosive energy of everyone on the dance floor made her presence known every night.

The residents of the beautiful South African town celebrated her connection to nature and the region’s rich cultural heritage every weekend night in the town’s main plaza. Vanadia spent the days healing and strengthening her subjects. Vanadia visited each family and blessed their crops, bringing prosperity and stability.

An evil entity known as Obsidian from deep within the Earth, planned to darken the Earth permanently.  Obsidian’s harbored a special hatred for the diversity of Elementara.  He hated the diversity of the elements and wanted to keep them, and the entire Earth, in darkness. As Obsidian released his darkness to the Earth, every light on the planet began to dim.

Chromia knew that fighting Obsidian was the only way to keep the light from fading. She knew she needed help and she called for Vanadia.  Together, the protector of Elementara and the goddess of South Africa used their powers to take down Obsidian.  As they approached Obsidian’s stronghold, Chromia released a dazzling light from the chromium crystals, repelling the darkness that Obsidian created. Vanadia helped direct the light toward any shadows and together they brought light to the darkness.  Defeated, Obsidian returned underground. While Earth regained its light, Elementara’s light was brighter and richer than before which prompted a global celebration.

After they defeated Obsidian, Vanadia taught Chromia the wisdom of unity and diversity.  Vanadia explained that accepting others and seeking to understand their gifts is true wisdom, and true peace.  Each element has a unique contribution, and every human has a unique contribution.  Chromia returned to Elementara with a renewed goal. She taught her elemental companions and other Elementara residents the wisdom of Vanadia, emphasizing the need to embrace one another’s uniqueness and work together through suffering.

Chromia and Vanadia’s legacy inspired those in Elemtara and humanity. Chromia and Vanadia united people from different origins while honoring their own heritage. They became icons of hope and inspiration in their worlds and other planets and civilizations, guiding individuals and communities who sought the potential of diversity and unity. The legacy of Chromia and Vanadia was a testament to the transformative power of different perspectives to promote positive transitions in unexpected circumstances. In a time and place when scientific knowledge seemed distant and unconnected, Chromia’s tale resonated with young people. It inspired them to uncover the periodic table’s wonders.

Elementara’s residents learned from Chromia’s expedition and Vanadia’s experience. The country’s vibrant hues and enticing rituals gained more meaning as its local people embraced their cultural and ethnic diversity. With her silver hair and dazzling eyes, Chromia remained a symbol of perseverance and resolution, reminding us that diversity can shine even in the face of evil. Their stories moved Elementara inhabitants and others worldwide. These two great figures revived respect for Africa’s cultural legacy and the continent, both in Africa and outside.
